THE KATHERINE HOOKER SUMMER SALE IS HERE

Posted on

The Summer Sale has arrived. And if you’re anything like me, the ideal of trawling through websites to find the best buys is far too overwhelming a thought. The pressure to buy the right piece, something that will see me through to Autumn and that I will love for seasons to come, brings on a bout of stage fright and the risk of missing out completely.

What is the key to shopping the sales successfully? Think strategically, go in with a plan, find a look that is both trend-led but also hone in on wardrobe and workwear classics. Be sensible - to a degree. And if you fall head over heels in love with something, then just go for it.

With the Katherine Hooker Summer Sale starting on 4th July, we’ve rounded up our favourite buys, inspired by the best looks from the summer season.

Katherine Hooker Summer Sale, Floral Dresses

Sadie in Pink and Neutral

Vintage Florals

There has been a huge resurgence for forties and fifties-style tea dresses. Seen everywhere from the catwalk, to street style stars and the high street. Adding an extra touch of vintage is abundance of floral prints on these dresses. From dainty ditsy to big and bold a floral dress can slot into any wardrobe and solve almost any sartorial sagas. Not just for weddings and christenings, and trans-seasonal a floral dress really is on the best pieces you could invest in this year. Two styles of Katherine Hooker’s beautiful silk dresses are going on sale this week (both from £375). Choose from the Stafford in Pewter, Neutral, Nightshade or Pink or the Sadie in Pink or Nightshade.

Pastels Power

Pastels have also made a rather punchy come back this season. We’ve always been a fan of the the muted hue and now it seems the world has also realised its power. In fact back in spring, Net a Porter reported that searches for 'pastel' products had increased three times since the previous September, naming pastel pink the most commonly searched shade, closely followed by pastel blue. Global search engine Lyst's findings concur, revealing the search for pastel suits was up 25% this year.

So, for those who like to coordinate their colours pair Katherine Hooker’s Ascot Dress in Pale Pink (down to £325 from £545) with the Tallulah Coat in the same colour (now £555) or for a more standout colour palette pick the Yellow Patmos Jacket, reduced from £750 to £450, to go over the dress.  Or if that’s too much colour for one outfit, wear it with the Tallulah Jacket in Cream (£435 in the sale).
