Tailored evening coats in rich hues, jackets that cut a flattering silhouette and velvet dresses, Katherine Hooker’s Pre-Fall Collection will have you longing for the winter weather
“I work tirelessly to create pieces with meaning, that are the opposite of fast fashion,” says Katherine Hooker of her Pre-Fall AW’ 18/19 collection.
The collection, which includes velvet dresses, silk prints and beautifully tailored dress coats, is designed to be timeless; pieces that will surpass the tides of fashion and be treasured for years to come. It is British heritage with a modern twist.
All of the exquisitely tailored items are handmade in England using fabrics from the world’s best manufacturers in Britain, Italy and Austria. Among them is The Skirted Coat, a bold new coat with a tulip-shaped skirt and nipped in waist that creates an elegant silhouette. The coat comes in three colours: Beige Herringbone (100% wool), Scarlet Red (100% Wool), and Van Gogh Blue Connaught Silk. Bound to become a classic, it’s smart, colourful and a bit special.

Also debuting in the Pre-Fall collection is the Opera Coat in taupe herringbone. The calf-length coat features an original high Nehru-style collar. Layer it over a party dress for smart occasions or dress down with a simple white shirt and black trousers.

The ever-popular Campbell and Buxton coats are back too, in darker, wintery fabrics. The former coming in an Autumnal aubergine and the latter a navy cashmere.
The Patmos Jacket
Katherine Hooker’s short jackets have also been given cosy winter makeovers. The best sellers, like the Hendre, Tallulah and Patmos, have been re-worked in forest greens and soft navy blues - segueing seamlessly from summer weddings and horse racing attire to impeccable workwear, especially when paired with Katherine Hooker’s new pencil and flared skirts.

Winter florals feature prominently throughout the collection. An exclusive much-loved floral print is now available in both navy and burgundy. The vibrant prints have been made in the Stafford and Sadie dresses, which offer a more relaxed alternative to the sharp Ascot dress.
